Abandoned Railway

A few weeks ago, me and Jack did some research on things to do in the city, we wanted to find something different and at the same time cheap but an adventure.

I came across the abandoned railway online and we decided to go, we kept away from the live tracks and walked past the old carriages now used as shelters and living accommodation for those seeking refuge.

The metal, covered in rust and graffiti, bares little comparison to the new streamline trains you can see on the tracks. It surprised us that the Greek government leaves so many disused carts.. but then we found out about the airport which is abandoned in Athens, and realised they have bigger issues of abandoned aircraft rather than a few rusty, run down carriages in the middle of nowhere.
