Probably one of Thessalonikis top land marks, the White tower is visible from miles away and stands tall in the city’s skyline.
Not only is it nice on the outside but there’s also a museum inside. For €4 you can explore the history of the city and the making of this landmark.
The museum itself has Greek writing/information so it’s important to ask for the audio book when you pay at the entrance unless you can read Greek.
There’s also a lot of stairs, and not calm flat ones, but they are all at an angle and spirals around the tower.
However, the view at the end is magnificent. You can stand right at the top of the tower and get a 360 view of the city and sea. It’s windy (so girls don’t wear a short skirt) and there isn’t many seats but it is totally worth it.
